Starting with an advantage resulting from their 3-1 away victory last week in the Netherlands, Fenerbahçe PRL ISTANBUL progressed to the Playoff round of the men’s CEV Cup following a comprehensive 3-0 home victory (25-13, 25-17, 25-22) over Draisma Dynamo APELDOORN. In the next round, Fenerbahçe will be playing Ukraine’s SC Prometey DNIPRO or Serbia’s Partizan BEOGRAD – who are due to face each other on Thursday night with the Ukrainians relying on a 3-0 victory from the previous leg.

Fenerbahçe did now have any problems to claim their home match with APELDOORN

Fenerbahçe started the re-match against the Dutch team with Vahit Emre Savaş, Drazen Luburic, Yiğit Gülmezoğlu, Mahdi Jelveh Ghaziani, Dick Kooy, Murat Yenipazar and liberos Hasan Yeşilbudak and Caner Dengin. The hosts comfortably secured a landslide 25-13 win in the first set. Fenerbahçe booked their ticket to the next round following a 25-17 second-set win. With only glory at stake, the home side from Türkiye’s megalopolis got the job done in the third set too to advance to the next stage of the CEV Cup in a truly emphatic style. Yiğit Gülmezoğlu top scored for the winners with 12 points, as Yannick Bak was the only other player to finish the match in double digits with 10 scored for APELDOORN.
