On Sunday, May 18, the Armenian men’s national Volleyball championship, aka the Pro League 2024-2025, ended in Yerevan. The competition organised by the Volleyball Federation of Armenia comprised four stages, with the first and second such phases contested in 2024, and the subsequent ones held in the spring of 2025. From May 16 to 18, the final stage of the league was played in Yerevan, featuring solely the top four teams from the previous phase.
Team FIMA from Yerevan, which had suffered only one defeat since the start of the league, was the clear favourite and lived up to their status, with Team Gyumri and Team MSKH sharing the same number of points to complete the regular season in second and third place, respectively. Team Gyumri, which represents the second largest city of Armenia, beat their main rival MSKH in straight sets.
The players from the top three teams were awarded with medals and cups, whereas special prizes were presented to the best performers of the competition, including Most Valuable Player (MVP) Ashot Balabekyan of Team FIMA.
