As the club season gathers pace, Europe’s top women’s volleyball teams are gearing up for another weekend packed with action. Across the continent, #CLVolleyW contenders will look to maintain their winning form against manageable opposition — but all attention will be focused on Italy, where the first trophy of the 2025–2026 season is on the line.

In Italy, the stage is set for a blockbuster showdown between two of Europe’s elite: A. Carraro Prosecco Doc Conegliano and Numia Vero Volley Milano will clash for the Italian Super Cup. The matchup reprises last year’s edition, when Conegliano edged Milano in a thrilling 3-2 victory to capture their seventh consecutive Super Cup crown. The reigning CEV Champions League Volley and Italian champions have once again opened the season in top form, winning all three of their league matches.

Led by Swedish star Isabelle Haak and guided by coach Daniele Santarelli, Conegliano will aim to extend their domestic dominance. Milano, meanwhile, will surely enter the final determined to end Conegliano’s reign and claim their first national trophy in several years. As the two teams prepare for yet another high-stakes duel, fans can expect an intense, world-class display that could set the tone for both clubs’ European ambitions this season.

In Türkiye, the country’s three #CLVolleyW powerhouses, VakıfBank Istanbul, Fenerbahçe Medicana Istanbul, and Eczacıbaşı Dynavit Istanbul, are expected to continue their winning momentum in Week 2 of the Sultanlar League. Each side enters the weekend as a heavy favorite and will aim to secure back-to-back victories to solidify their early-season form. Meanwhile, Ankara Zeren Spor Kulübü, who fell to VakıfBank in the opener, will look to rebound and earn their first win against Bahçelievler.

Elsewhere in Europe, Poland’s KS Developres Rzeszów, ŁKS Commercecon Łódź, and PGE Budowlani Łódź are also targeting three-point wins to keep pace in the Tauron League standings. In Germany, the league’s top contenders SSC Palmberg Schwerin and Dresdner SC will look to continue their strong starts to the season against lesser-ranked opponents.

With every major #CLVolleyW club in action and the first trophy of the year up for grabs, this weekend promises excitement, momentum, and a glimpse of which teams are truly ready to lead Europe’s elite charge this season.
