Imoco Conquered The Italian Title For The Fifth Consecutive Season

The Italian league is undoubtedly one of the strongest ones in all over the continent, but one team for sure has been dominating it for years: A. Carraro Imoco Volley Conegliano once again took the top of the podium by defeating Vero Volley Milano in the fifth and the final clash of the playoff finals.

The Italian Serie A1 Women's champions became clear yesterday with the fifth leg of the playoff finals. A. Carraro Imoco Volley Conegliano faced Vero Volley Milano, and the latter won the first set to put pressure on Imoco. However, the "Panthers," of course, were used to this situation and started to show a superior performance afterward. Taking the remaining three consecutive sets, Italian expert Daniele Santarelli's team won the match (3-1: 23-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-21) and the championship.

Swedish superstar of the team, Isabelle Haak, helped her team with 25 points, but one player clearly shone in the last battle: Canadian outside hitter Alexa Gray produced 25 points with a 69% attack and 67% positive reception performance. With this victory, Imoco managed to maintain their title in Italy: They took their fifth successive championship in the domestic league and six in total. They also succeeded in taking all trophies in Italy this year: They won Italian Serie A1 Women, Italian Cup, and Italian Supercup. Alongside the Club World Championship title they received this season, Imoco completed the year with four trophies.

Now, the club season ended for Imoco and Daniele Santarelli in a perfect way. However, we will continue watching them in the summer with their national teams. Of course, the squad has an abundance of international star players, and they will start working with their compatriots as soon as possible to get ready for the national team tournaments.
