Last Domestic Challenges Await Powerhouses Before Their #CLVolleyM Debuts

The fourth round of the #CLVolleyM is just around the corner, and the biggest favorites of the most elite tournament in Europe will hold their last domestic games to test themselves before their debut. No worries are expected for Polish, Italian, and Turkish ones, and German squads will seek to advance to the quarterfinals in the domestic cup.

All three CEV Champions League Volley contenders from Poland will face opponents who are below their place. The current leader of the charts, Jastrzebski Wegiel will face Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle in the eleventh round of the Polish PlusLiga, while Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie will visit Slepsk Suwalki. Projekt Warszawa lastly received failure against Norwid Czestochowa, and now they will definitely aim to complete the weekend with a win.

Things are going pretty well for the Italian #CLVolleyM squad Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia so far in their country: By winning all their previous six games, the reigning domestic champion Perugia is currently in the second position. This time, they will visit Taranto in the seventh leg of the Italian SuperLega, and they are undoubtedly the clear favorites. Mint Vero Volley Monza still couldn’t find their own rhythm, and this time they will try to defeat Verona, to rise up to the higher places and gain points. Allianz Milano lastly passed their opponent in four sets, and this weekend they want to continue to keep the momentum they gained in the last two games.

The volleyball actions in Germany will continue with the 1/8 finals of the German Cup. The defending champions of the tournament, #CLVolleyM squad Berlin Recycling Volleys became the first team to book their place in the quarterfinals. This weekend, SVG Lüneburg and Helios Grizzlys Giesen will also try to secure their spots for the next round, and they aim to continue their journey.

The top teams of Europe will start to fully focus on their first games in the #CLVolleyM, and this weekend, they will have the final opportunity to see themselves in the domestic leagues before taking the court for the biggest tournament in Europe. We will see if any surprising results happen, or as expected the favorites will continue their way without any difficulties.
