In the second match in the men’s competition contested on Sunday, TJ Spartak MYJAVA secured a 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-16) away win at bottom of the table VKP BRATISLAVA in an all-Slovakian derby. Therefore, TJ Spartak MYJAVA moved up to seventh place in the standing, overtaking UVC Holding GRAZ. The Austrian team has suffered six 0-3 losses in a row. Daouda Yacoubou (22) and Michal Trubač (7) top scored for the hosts, as Michal Zeman (12), Matus Konc and Patrik Pokopec (11 each) topped the charts for TJ Spartak MYJAVA.
In the women’s MEVZA League, Vasas Óbuda BUDAPEST cruised to an impressive 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-10) win over bottom of the table OK Marina KAŠTELA. Already on Saturday, the second placed Hungarian team could claim an away victory at the competition rookies. The first encounter, however, was a lot more exciting and dramatic, as Vasas Óbuda BUDAPEST had needed 115 minutes to edge the underdogs in the fifth set.
