‘Restructured’ Eczacibasi aims high as new season about to begin

Turkey’s Volleyball heavyweight Eczacibasi Dynavit ISTANBUL have started their 2021-2022 campaign with a press conference held at their very own sports hall. The President of the Eczacibasi Sports Club Executive Board, Faruk Eczacibasi, Board Members, players and staff all attended the event to share information on the roster as well as he goals set for the season that is just about to begin.

Faruk Eczacibasi stated that the team has been preparing for the coming season with a new staff and roster, including many transfers.

“We are fully focused on our targets. We have adopted an even more dynamic system with the leadership of our new head coach Ferhat Akbaş. We are playing to win the title in all top-level tournaments that we are due to contest. I would like to wish all teams a season without any injuries and illnesses.”


Also thanking Dynavit, the new supporter of the team, and all other sponsors, Eczacibasi added, “Such support plays an important role in development of club teams. The strength of our club teams reflects on the success of the Turkish national team and through this, we claim great results. I would like to congratulate our national team with all my heart – as they made us proud both in the Olympic Games and at the European Championship.”

Giving information about the preparations for the upcoming season and the new team structure, head coach Ferhat Akbaş said,

“We start our journey at a very strong club with a brand new structure. We will step onto the court to win all matches and trophies. During the preparation phase, we have built a determined, aggressive and passionate team. Hereby, we invite our fans to come and support us.”


A former winner of the elite CEV Champions League (in 2015), this year Eczacibasi are due to compete in the CEV Volleyball Cup.
