This weekend, there will be an abundance of good volleyball actions all over Europe in the most elite domestic leagues. The semifinal stage will start in Italy between the strongest four teams in the country, and the German semifinalists once again take the court to get one step closer to the final phase. The regular season will continue in Poland, and Jastrzebski will hold another important clash.

After completing the quarterfinals, we learned the teams that managed to advance to the next round in Italy. The regular season champions, this year's SuperFinalist in #CLVolleyM, Itas Trentino, secured their place in the semifinals, as expected, alongside the vice-leaders Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia. However, Vero Volley Monza and Allianz Milano filled the remaining spots unexpectedly: Monza passed Cucine Lube Civitanova by 3-2 in the quarterfinals, and Milano became the last squad to book their ticket in the semifinals with a massive victory over Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza.

This weekend, the first semifinal games will take place: On Sunday, Trentino will host Monza, and Perugia will meet Milano. Starting the semifinals with victories is quite crucial for all the teams, in the sense of getting the mental advantage over their opponents.

The regular season will continue in Polish PlusLiga with the 28th week. The SuperFinalist, Jastrzebski Wegiel, is currently in the lead with a 23-4 record and a total of 69 points. This weekend, they will take the court against Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, the team in the third position with 64 points. The result of the clash will not affect Jastrzebski's place, but of course, the goal will be to take a victory to show how powerful they are and why they are the biggest favorite for the title this season.

Things will be getting harder in Germany as well: As expected, the top four teams of the primary season had no difficulties in advancing to the semifinal stage, and the top two, Berlin Recycling Volleys and Giesen, started to semifinals with decisive victories. Their rivals in this stage, Luneburg and Friedrichshafen, will definitely put a great effort on the court this time to tie the series.

We continue waiting for this year's SuperFinals, but before that, if you want to spend your spare time at the weekend watching some volleyball matches, you should definitely keep an eye on the first semifinal games in Italy, as well as the huge match in Polish regular season.
