Top Squads in Poland, Italy, and Germany Prevailed In Their National Leagues

#CLVolleyM squads delivered strong performances across their domestic leagues this weekend, with Poland’s top three teams securing comfortable victories against relatively weaker opponents, Italy’s Perugia extending their dominance, and Germany’s BR Volleys maintaining their perfect record.

Two of the Polish #CLVolleyM representatives, Jastrzębski Węgiel and PGE Projekt Warszawa, claim 3-1 victories in the 23rd round of the Polish PlusLiga. The leader of the charts who managed to maintain their top position, Jastrzebski visited Trefl Gdansk. Except for the second set, there was a huge dominance from the Jastrzebski side, resulting in a four-set win (3-1: 25-19, 21-25, 25-20, 25-23).

The Polish superstar Tomasz Fornal once again became the top scorer of the winning side with 21 points, including three aces and two blocks, which also made him the Most Valuable Player on the court. 2003-born promising Polish opposite Aliaksei Nasevich tallied 24 points on the losing side. As a result of this victory, Jastrzebski increased their total points to 60, and with a 19-4 winning record, they stayed on top.

Italian powerhouse Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia showed their superiority in the 18th leg of the Italian SuperLega, cruising past Gioiella Prisma Taranto in a dominant 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-22) victory. From start to finish, Perugia controlled the game, displaying their trademark efficiency in attack and defensive stability. Japanese star of the winning side, Yuki Ishikawa tallied 14 points, while Wassim Ben Tara contributed with 13, and Polish outside hitter Kamil Semeniuk highlighted with five aces. Thanks to this win, Perugia put an end to their loss streak and preserved their top position in the charts with 45 points.

In Germany’s Bundesliga, two of the country’s CEV Champions League Volley squads, Berlin Recycling Volleys and SVG Lüneburg both lived up to expectations with commanding 3-0 wins. The BR Volleys side remained undefeated at the top of the standings, demonstrating once again why they are the team to beat in the league. Meanwhile, Lüneburg’s win ensured they held onto second place, keeping the race for the top spot alive.

With dominant performances in Poland, Italy, and Germany, #CLVolleyM teams continued to make their mark in their respective leagues. As the season progresses, the battle for domestic supremacy remains intense, with these squads also keeping their eyes on European success.
