The resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic and more specifically the spread of the highly transmissible Omicron strain is currently posing a number of challenges to the organisers of international sporting events. Under the current circumstances, it is with deep regret that the CEV and the Italian Volleyball Federation have agreed to cancel the CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour stop originally planned for March 4-6, 2022 in Tarvisio.

The safety and welfare of everyone associated with the sport remain paramount and the organisers have found themselves with no other choice than to follow the latest measures adopted by the relevant national and local authorities.

Despite this setback, the CEV continues to work extensively with all partners in order to deliver a successful Snow Volleyball season in an environment that is safe for all involved. The European Tour 2022 is due to get underway in less than three weeks in Kahramanmaras, Turkey, with further stops in Truskavets (Ukraine) and Kayseri-Erciyes (Turkey) due to follow in late February and mid-March, respectively.

Moreover, a two-digit number of National Federations have confirmed plans for the delivery of a National Championship / National Tour – thus providing players and fans with truly exciting opportunities to contest respectively follow the youngest and coolest version of the Volleyball game!
