All Final Round participants of #EuroVolleyU16M have been confirmed

The second round of #EuroVolleyU16M has concluded, with all group matches completed. Today, we found out which national teams have qualified for the Final Round, which will take place in Yerevan, Armenia, from July 23 to August 3, 2025.

From the five pools, each consisting of four teams, two finalists from each group and the two best third-placed teams advanced to the next stage.

In Pool A, the final two matches were played today, where Latvia and Bulgaria confirmed their dominance. Latvia secured a decisive 3–0 win over Cyprus, with Mikus ZŪLIS being the most effective player, scoring 12 points.

Bulgaria lost the first set to Finland (20–25) but then claimed three consecutive sets (25–17, 25–10, 25–18), solidifying their position as group leaders. The top scorer was Deyan ANGELOV with 16 points.

In Pool B, Austria defeated Azerbaijan, who, despite not winning a single match, managed to take one set in this game.

Spain overcame Estonia in four sets, securing the top spot in the group. Roger MONZO LUENGO led the team with 17 points.

Hungary and Slovenia played the most intense match of the evening in Pool D, requiring five sets to determine the winner and group leader. Hungary narrowly prevailed (25–14, 25–15, 22–25, 22–25, 15–12) and advanced to the Final Round in first place. Lehel Péter MOLNÁR contributed 22 points to his team’s victory.

Romania beat Georgia 3–0, with Georgia failing to win a single set in this stage. This win allowed Romania to qualify for the Final Round as one of the best third-placed teams.

In Pool E, Italy and Greece battled for group leadership, with Italy coming out on top, winning 3–0. Greece struggled in defense, especially in blocking (12–2 in Italy's favour), but performed well on serve, scoring an impressive 9 aces. The top scorer of the game was Federico GUIOTTO with 19 points.

Israel and Croatia also played a five-set thriller, with Croatia emerging victorious. However, this win was not enough for them to advance further in the competition.

These teams will join hosts Armenia, as well as the winners of the three first-round zonal qualifiers – Türkiye, Poland, and Czechia which qualified earlier. In total, 16 teams spread in 2 Pools will compete in the Final Round in Yerevan.
