With Estonia's win against Belgium on Saturday, they improved their undefeated record to 5-0 and locked in their spot in the #EuroLeagueM Final 4 alongside Turkey, Ukraine, and the hosts Belgium.

Spain defeated Latvia in straight sets to keep their spot in Golden #EuroLeagueM for the 2022 season.

“Today was a good game. All the players knew how important the game was for us. The victory gave us the ticket for the next season again for the CEV Volleyball European Golden League 2022. All our team played very good, some guys had some physical problems, but they overcame all the problems and we are happy with the victory.”

Romania's 3-1 victory against Slovakia behind Rares Ionut Balean was nice, but unfortunately not enough for them to qualify for the final 4.

The Czech Republic moved up to second place in Pool C following their 3-1 victory over Belarus, but Turkey’s lead in the group remains an unassailable one.

“We knew we would face a physically powerful team and we prepared well to overcome that challenge. We played calmly and we managed to keep the advantage we established. In the first two sets, we served very well and I believe that overall we played a good match. After losing three times in the 1st tournament, these victories are very important for the stability of the team. Tomorrow it will be an even more difficult match as Turkey has good players. We have to rest and remain focused.”

Fulvio Bertini
Assistant coach of Czech Republic

Turkey has only dropped one set so far in the pool phase with a 3-0 win over Portugal, and will be a dangerous opponent in the Final 4.

“Today we did a good job with the block and our younger players performed very well. Despite having achieved our main goal, we are happy but not completely satisfied as we want to finish our participation in the 2nd tournament with one more victory and complete the League Round with a full set of six wins.”

Mert Karatop
Assistant coach of Turkey

“The game was difficult for us, we did not manage to start well, but from there we came back and as you could see, the last two sets ended with only a two-point difference, so it was a tough game and a nice one to win."

Estonia was the last team to qualify to the final 4 with the win against Belgium, who have an automatic berth as hosts despite their record.
