Denmark Defeats Hungary in Straight Sets
Denmark claimed a 3–0 win over Hungary in Pool A of the EuroVolley 2026 Qualifiers. The Danish side controlled the match from start to finish, taking the sets 25–17, 25–18, and 25–19.
In the opening set, Denmark quickly settled into rhythm, with strong serves and defense to build a comfortable lead before closing it 25–17. Hungary tried to respond in the second set, keeping the score closer, but Denmark maintained their composure and edged ahead to take it 25–18.
The third set followed a similar pattern. Hungary worked hard to stay in touch, but Denmark’s consistency made the difference. The set ended 25–19, sealing a straight-sets victory for the Danish team.
With this result, Denmark strengthened their position in Pool A with three wins from four matches, while Hungary remains without a win after four games.
Montenegro Edges Past Norway in Four Sets
In a tense Pool C contest, Montenegro emerged victorious over Norway with a 3–1 win, closing the match with a composed performance.
The first set was a battle of wills; both teams traded attacks and defenses, pushing the score into extra points. Eventually, Montenegro held their nerve, sealing it 30–28.
In the second set, Montenegro found a rhythm. Their serving stayed consistent, helping them claim the set 25–17.
Facing a must‐not‑lose third set, Norway stepped up. They improved their block and service game, catching Montenegro off-guard and leveling the match with a confident 25–16 win.
But in the decisive fourth set, Montenegro regrouped. With steadier ball control, they pulled ahead and closed it 25–18 to seal the win
