After a composed and clinical final performance against Czechia, Finland won the 2025 Men's CEV European Golden League.

The match started with intensity on both sides, but it was Czechia who edged the first set 26–24, showing early signs of control. Their aggressive serving and attacks gave them the upper hand, silencing the Finnish momentum.

However, Finland bounced back in the second set, leveling the match at 1–1. The turning point came when Czechia’s Lukas Vasina picked up an injury and had to leave the court. Jiri Bend stepped in, but Finland capitalized on the disruption and claimed the set. They took the third set convincingly, using their block defense and attacks to exploit Czechia’s reshuffled formation. The fourth set followed similarly, with Finland maintaining their pressure to seal the win and lift the Golden League trophy.

This victory marks Finland’s first Men’s Golden League title, a historic moment for the team, which showed strength and focus throughout the tournament.

Joonas Jokela was named MVP of the final, leading the scoring with 16 points and playing a pivotal role in Finland’s success.

Earlier in the day, Israel secured the Bronze medal after defeating Greece in a hard-fought match, completing the podium for the 2025 edition of the competition.

Congratulations to Finland – Champions of the 2025 CEV European Golden League Men!
