Italy crowned #EuroVolleyU16M champions in Yerevan!

From July 23 to August 3, Armenia proudly hosted the 2025 edition of #EuroVolleyU16M. Sixteen national teams competed in Yerevan, delivering an unforgettable tournament filled with passion, talent, and sportsmanship.

The first phase of matches was held at two venues – the Armenian-Russian (Slavonic) University and the Gazprom Sports and Education Complex. Both halls welcomed the athletes with great energy and loud support from many enthusiastic fans. Starting from the semi-finals, all matches were held at Gazprom, which provided excellent conditions for the successful delivery of the final stage of the competition.

The tournament attracted significant public attention. Local media actively covered the games, and each day more and more spectators came to the arena - from more regular volleyball lovers to families and casual, curious first-time visitors. The championship became a topic of conversation across the city and even further beyond. The excitement and energy were truly contagious.

The bronze medal match between France and Poland was dynamic and intense, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats. As for the final between Italy and Spain - it was a truly emotional and thrilling showdown, with incredible rallies and unforgettable moments, with the Azzurrini emerging victorious in the end. The spectators filled the arena with loud cheers and vibrant support, thereby creating an atmosphere worthy of a true European final.

The closing ceremony was festive and full of joy. All teams were honoured with medals, trophies, and symbolic gifts. Special awards were presented to the best players of the competition in each position, namely:

Middle Blockers: Enzo Savalli (FRA), Michele Mangini (ITA)
