Italy, Spain, Bulgaria remain undefeated at #EuroVolleyU17M

Spain, Italy, and Bulgaria have extended their winning streaks at #EuroVolleyU17M following completion of the fourth competition day in the pool stage of the tournament being held in Podgorica. 

Italy's triple block stopping Finland en route to a 3-0 victory

Team Montenegro lost their fourth match in a row, this time it was Estonia who managed to rout the hosts in straight sets (25-18, 25-19, 25-15). The result accounts for Estonia’s second victory in Pool I. Luka Lojić was the top scorer for the Montenegrin team with 13 points, followed by Vuk Stanojević with 10. Joosep Kurik scored 19 points for Estonia.
 
In Group I, Bulgaria continued their impressive run with a 3-0 win against the defending champions, Slovenia (25-19, 25-17, 25-17). Kristiyan Ivanov scored nine points, while Petyo Ivanov, Zhasmin Velichkov, and Konstantin Manolev each scored eight points for Bulgaria.
 
Belgium also secured a comfortable victory, defeating Türkiye in three sets (25-13, 25-18, 26-24). Viktor Speltinckx was outstanding with 17 points, and Berk Senturk was the top scorer for Türkiye with 12 points. In the opening match of the day, Austria triumphed over Greece 3-1 (25-16, 17-25, 25-22, 25-15). Jonas Mozina collected an impressive 24 points for Austria, while Cooper Boyd scored 16 times. For Greece, Stavros Konstantinos Mouchlias scored 26 points.
 
In the fourth day of the tournament in Podgorica, Group II matches were played at the University Sports and Cultural Centre, where Spain and Italy both celebrated their fourth straight victories. Spain won against France 3-1 (27-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-20). The excellent attacking trio of Spain – Gerard Rejon Fuendez with 20 points, Mario Garcia Dominguez with 19, and Cesar Irache Camacho with 18 - proved crucial. Andrej Jokanović scored 18 points for France. Italy secured a comfortable victory against Finland 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-22). Nicolo’ Garello led the Azzurrini with 18 points, while Viktor Viljamaa scored 12 points for Finland.
 
Poland achieved their third victory in the championship, defeating the Netherlands 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-21). Jakub Szczurowski led Poland with 15 points, and Boris Thumann scored eight for the Netherlands. Serbia’s U17 team secured its first victory at the European Championship in Podgorica, winning 3-0 against Czechia (28-26, 30-28, 25-18). Aleksa Škorić was the top scorer of the match with 18 points, supported by Pavle Čolaković with 17 and Vuk Kulpinac with 15.
