Super-confident victory of Latvia in the semi-finals of the Silver League

Latvia finished the group stage of the Silver League in first place, while their rivals from Montenegro were in second. Such a psychological advantage obviously helped the Latvians start the first set confidently, they quickly broke away in the score and reached the mark of 20 points, while the Austrians had 16 points. Latvia quickly brought this set to the end, winning with a score of 25:19.

In the second set, Latvia continued to gain points confidently, it seemed that the Austrian team was confused after the first set and could not oppose anything to their rivals. The team from the Baltics calmly went through the entire set and finished it again with a score of 25:19.

For the Austrians, the third set was the last opportunity to catch on in this match, but this segment of the game developed in a similar scenario to the previous ones. Volleyball players from the Baltics were in the lead throughout the entire set without even letting the opponent close to them and completed the set with a score of 25:19 and 3:0 in the match. Thus, Latvia is with one foot in the final before the return leg set to take place on 28 June. Cyprus and Hungary will be facing each other for the second spot available in the Final.
