#EuroLeagueW: Spain vs Sweden

Spain had a tough start in Sparbanken Skane Arena in Lund. Sweden, supported by fully packed stands, took to the court showing a better performance than the Spanish team, which soon found itself four points behind. Pascual Saurín made changes to the starting lineup, which led to a complete change in the game script. Spain reacted in time, corrected early mistakes, improved their serving, and gained confidence. Attacks by Paola Martínez and blocking work by Carla Jiménez stabilized the play of the "Leonas," and the set ended in a thrilling finish, ultimately won by Spain with a score of 28-26.

In the second set, Sweden was mostly trailing, but they managed to tie the score at 21-21 and then pull ahead. Isabelle Haak delivered a successful attack, earning the 23rd point for her team. In this thrilling set, it was the Spanish who sealed their fate by hitting out, allowing Sweden to equalize the sets at 1-1.

The match continued. Spain took control of the third set, applying everything they had practiced before the game against Sweden: powerful serves and solid defense. The "Leonas" once again gained an advantage in the score, enough to finish the set calmly. However, the Haak sisters, Isabelle and Anna, began scoring points, narrowing the gap on the scoreboard. A great attack by María Segura aiming for a block-out brought Spain the 25th point, once again putting them ahead in Lund.

In the fourth set, the Swedes took the lead and finished with a +6 advantage, sealing the set with an ace, leveling the score to 2-2 and taking the match to a tiebreaker. In the final segment, the Spanish team immediately pulled ahead 4-1, but the Swedes made an incredible comeback, playing excellently on defense. Once again, with an attack from Isabelle Haak, the Swedish team took the lead 4-5. The home team continued this surge and ultimately turned the tide of the tiebreaker. The opponents got nervous and started making mistakes, and the victory in the set and the match went to the Swedish team.
