Sweden delivered a dominant performance against Iceland, winning 3-0 (25-7, 25-11, 25-17) in Kópavogur on June 15 in the CEV Men’s European Silver League. From the very first set, Sweden took control with sharp serving, efficient attacks, and solid blocking, thus leaving Iceland struggling to find their footing throughout the match.

Sweden is yet to lose a single set in this year's European Silver League

Jacob Link was the standout performer for Sweden, scoring 14 points with powerful attacks and excellent consistency. He received strong support from Patrik Johansson and Axel Enlund, who contributed eight points each. Sweden’s quick transitions and aggressive play kept Iceland’s defence on their heels and limited the home side’s scoring chances.

For Iceland, Valens Torfi Ingimundarson and Hafsteinn Valdimarsson were among the few bright spots, scoring 10 and four points, respectively. Despite their efforts, Iceland couldn’t match Sweden’s tempo and struggled particularly in reception and attack efficiency. Sweden’s clear superiority in all phases of the game secured them a convincing win and valuable points in the competition standings where they currently sit in first place with four wins from as many matches and maximum 12 points.
