Huge couple of weeks ahead for the nations still in the running for one of the four trophies up for grabs across the Silver and Golden CEV European Leagues. First up, the Women's CEV European Silver League Finals with Switzerland and Latvia.
he first leg of the Finals will be played in Latvia, who will be hoping to get an important boost from the home crowd before travelling to Switzerland only a few days later to face up the only team with a perfect record this year.
Both teams will be looking at their top scorers to continue delivering the points. Marta Levinska has been on fire for Latvia, managing an impressive 122 pts with the highest pts/set average across the board (5.55), putting her in pole position to become the top scorer of the competition after the finals.
Switzerland's Julie LengWeiler and Tabea Eichler have combined for a total tally of 155 points, powering Switzerland to their impressive unbeaten run.
Defensively, Middle Blockers Karmena Struka from Latvia and Madlaina Matter from Switzerland have been the outstanding players for their teams so far and will be playing a crucial role in the two matches of the Finals.
