Ukraine Crowned Champions of the Women’s CEV Golden League 2025

Ukraine has won the CEV Women’s Golden League 2025, beating Hungary 3-1 in the final. It’s a big win for the team, which played with control through key moments of the match.

They started strong by taking the first set 25-16, as Hungary responded well in the second, showing coordination. They took advantage of Ukraine’s brief drop in pace and edged ahead to win the set, bringing the score to 1-1.

Ukraine quickly regrouped and returned in the third set, where they repeated their strong opening performance with another 25-16 victory. They carried that momentum into the fourth set and closed out the match, securing a well-deserved 3-1 win.

One of the standout players for Ukraine was Anna Artyshuk, who scored 17 points, including 2 aces, earning her the MVP of the Match. Meanwhile, SHARHORODSKA Daria, Ukraine’s setter, was named Most Valuable Player of the Tournament for her consistent performances throughout the campaign.

Hungary, which fought hard to reach the final, showed spirit and quality despite the loss. Their silver medal marks a strong run in the tournament, and they leave with their heads held high.

Earlier in the day, Romania made history by winning the Bronze Medal Match against Sweden, earning their first-ever European medal in the competition. It was a big moment for Romanian volleyball, and a fitting end to a promising campaign.

Switzerland Wins the CEV Women’s Silver League 2025

Held over the weekend, the final of the CEV Women’s Silver League 2025 brought together two rising teams in European volleyball as Switzerland faced Latvia for the title.

In their most decisive performance of the tournament, Switzerland claimed a straight-sets victory to win their first-ever Silver League title, marking a milestone moment for the team. The match ended 3-0 in favour of the Swiss side, who maintained control from the start.

Outside hitter Julie Lengweiler led the way with 13 points, including 2 aces, and was named MVP of the match for her impactful performance.

Latvia secured the silver medal, capping off a strong campaign with consistent play throughout the tournament and a well-earned place on the podium.
