Overview
Тhis is the first home match for JASTRZEBSKI’s coach Slobodan Kovac, who worked as a head coach of Halkbank between 2016 and 2018.
JASTRZEBSKI Wegiel and Halkbank meet for the fourth time. They played each other three times in the 2014 season, producing home victories in the pool stage and the Turkish side winning the semifinal in Ankara in straight sets.
That season both clubs achieved their best results in the history of the competition – silver for Halkbank and bronze for JASTRZEBSKI Wegiel.

Atik TANERFirst of all, I want to congratulate JASTRZĘBSKI Węgiel and Mister Kovać who is one of the best coaches in the world. I had the possibility to work with him in the past and together we won three titles. I hope he will gain a lot of trophies in Poland. We started the match in a very bad way with a number of mistakes especially in service. And the power of Węgiel is service and block and we suffer a lot in our side-out. In third set we fought a little bit better, but anyway we lost.
