The team of Eczacibasi VitrA ISTANBUL are the firt to have qualified for the quarterfinals after they beat Fenerbahce Opet ISTANBUL in a direct battle for top spot. In this tight match the visitors took the lead twice, only to see Fenerbahce coming back. The tiebreak had to appoint a winner and the tigers from Eczacibasi just came out on top.

With this win they remain unbeaten, giving them access to the last eight teams of the competition. They now know for sure they will win Pool A. 

Both teams were missing important players, Fenerbahce was playing without Vargas and Mihajlovic, Eczacibasi are still without Kim. The match was nonetheless of a very high standard. Top scorer and MVP was Tijana Bošković, she scored 35.

Both teams are missing some great players, but it was a real derby today. Of course it isn't easy to win three times against the same team, but we did it, so I'm happy. I think there are some small things we can do even better, in the next period we will try to do it."
