In winning the first set 33-31 Budowlani ŁÓDŹ probably did the most important thing of the evening in the match against LP SALO. After that set was in the bag, the rest of the match came along smoothly, despite having to overcome a 4-0 deficit in the second set. 

Budowlani ŁÓDŹ have won their second match against SALO, the first one being 3-1 in Poland. With this win they remain third in Pool A, behind Turkey's Eczacibasi VitrA ISTANBUL (1st) and Fenerbahce Opet ISTANBUL who will face each other on Thursday. SALO will finish the Group Stage on the fourth place of Pool A.

Katarina Pilepic was top scorer of the match with 20 points. Anastasiia Kraiduba made 14 points for ŁÓDŹ.

Tomi Lemminkäinen, head coach LP SALO: ”I’m disappointed for the score, we came to win this game. Budowlani ŁÓDŹ is a great team, but today we had a change to win them. Today we didn’t play how I know this team can at its best. The opponent was a little bit tougher than us, in everything. In these games we need everyone to play well throughout the game, if we want to win.”

Eveliina Rautiainen, libero LP SALO: ”The first set was good, the feeling on the court was nice and the audience was with us. After loosing that set, we didn’t get the feeling anymore. We came to this game only to win, so none of us should be satisfied. From every game, won or lost, you learn something. We have our next game in the Finnish Championship League already tomorrow, so we have to forget this game fast.”

Błażej Krzysztalowicz, head coach of Budowlani ŁÓDŹ: ”We were prepared for a tough game against LP SALO and didn’t think it would be easy. We were prepared for some variations how they would play but in the first set we had big problems with our reception. We couldn’t make good side out so it was our main problem. Later during the game we put more pressure on our service so it caused problems for LP SALO’s reception.”

Jaroslava Pencova, middle blocker of Budowlani ŁÓDŹ: ”In this game it was important not to make mistakes, because we knew the more we gave them pressure, the more they made mistakes. It wasn’t an easy game for us and I’m not happy how we started the game. We weren’t concentrated and precise and because LP Salo is a very good team, the first set was difficult. We had to really push and play our best to win this game.”
