    Savino Del Bene SCANDICCI have started the 2020 #CLVolleyW with a come from behind 5-set win over 4-time champions VakifBank ISTANBUL. With lots of sentiments present at the match in the Turkish volleyball capital, the Italian side had just the edge over Giovanni Guidetti's squad.

    Two of the most talked about transfers of the summer season were up against each other and their former clubs. Lonneke Slöetjes left VakifBank to join SCANDICCI, Isabelle Haak went to opposite direction. Slöetjes didn't start the match, Poland's 2.02 m talent Magdalena Stysiak filled the opposite position of Marco Mencarelli's team. Slöetjes made it onto court from the second set on and helped her team beat former employer VakifBank.

    Haak was the top contender for the Turkish side, scoring 18 points. Her teammate Ebrar Karakurt was chosen as the MVP for the match, a title that could have gone to Samanthe Bricio from SCANDICCI as well, her tally reaching 15 points, including two aces. After almost two hours of play it was Jovana Stevanovic's slide attack that sealed the deal for SCANDICCI.
